We welcome Accrington CC as our latest visitors to Hare Hill. I hope you all have an enjoyable day and that the game ahead is both competitive and played in the ‘spirit of cricket’.

this game’s Blog focusses on our volunteers, without whom we could not do what we do, week after week. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Club and it always amazes me how much we get done throughout the year, so a massive thank you from me to all those that volunteer their services, day in, day out, year on year.

This work around the Club includes; ensuring we have a safe environment for our members and guests to enjoy, making sure our senior and junior games take place by maintaining and preparing our magnificent playing surface and surroundings, making sure we meet the training and development needs of our senior and junior cricketers, preparing for indoor functions and the hosting of significant community events such as our bonfire and music festival, Little Glastonboro.

These things don’t just happen. They rely on those that have, year on year, dedicated their own time and effort to making sure our beloved Cricket and Sports Club continues to improve and flourish.

You can never have enough volunteers at a Club like ours and myself and the Management Committee are extremely grateful for everything that everyone has done in the past and continues to do.

If this is something that you are prepared to be involved in and help out with, when you can, please let either myself or any Management Committee member know and we will let you know when help is required.
