We welcome Church CC as our latest visitors to Hare Hill. I hope you all have an enjoyable day and that the game ahead is both competitive and played in the ‘spirit of cricket’.

This programme’s Blog focusses on our members and the important role they all play in ensuring the sustainability of Littleborough Cricket & Sports Club (LCC). On behalf of myself and the Management Committee we thank you all very much for your continued support.

LCC is a Members Club, although we do allow non-members to use and enjoy our facilities. I would, however, actively encourage all our visiting non-members to take advantage of the benefits being a member brings for the price of a small annual membership fee, as follows;

Adult Member New £30
Adult (16+) Membership Renewal £25
Concessions (65+) Membership Renewal £15
Vice President New and Renewal (min) £45
Junior (u16) Membership Free

Please note that these are ‘Club Membership’ prices and do not reflect ‘Playing Membership’ fees, which are separate.

By far the biggest advantage of being a member is that it allows you access to exclusive membership prices on our alcoholic drinks range, which can be up to 20% on some drinks, so well worth thinking about. Visiting the Club on a regular basis, throughout the year, will mean that you can easily recoup your annual  membership fee with these discounted prices. It is very easy to make yourself a member and our Steward or bar staff will be able to talk you through the process. If you prefer, there is an on-line facility available via our website; www.littleboroughcc.co.uk

MEMBERS SAID – WE DID!

Our members provide us with valuable and constructive feedback all of the time and it is important that myself and the Management Committee listen and take note of what is being said and, where we can, act accordingly.

Over recent times, one of the most talked about areas requiring improvement by our cricketing loving members, is our scoreboard. At the time of purchase, our scoreboard was ‘state of the art’, but like all technology these days, within a few years, there is always something improved available on the market. So, I am pleased to announce that our new scoreboard has now been completed and is in operation for all to see. It is also testament to the purchase of our existing scoreboard that this can still be retained and used, in conjunction with the new one, on the other side of the ground to provide our supports with an all-round view of the scores, at all times.

We have also listened to and acted upon members’ feedback on other areas of the Club that they felt required improvement, some of which include;

• Patio area
• Car Park resurfacing
• Decking area and improved outdoor lighting
• Improved range of drink options
• Square and playing surface improvements
• Ground safety Improvements
• Willow Room refurbishment
• Additional seating capacity
• New indoor and outdoor furniture

As I have said previously, there will be more improvements to follow so please continue to provide us your constructive feedback and watch this space…
