Your memories of your debut for Littleborough?

Playing in the under 11’s at Bamford Fieldhouse, back in those days I used to be a spin bowler (unorthodox action, as a lot of you will know). I took 5 wickets in a single over, not a bad one for my debut at Littleborough CC.

Your favourite game and why?

30th May, 2010, we played Walsden at Hare Hill. Littleborough batted first and I opened the batting with Tom Pye, I made 110* not out and we won by 55 runs. I scored 2 centuries during my career at Littleborough CC, this being against Walsden was the most memorable.

Your favourite away ground and why?

I think it’d have to be Rochdale, good size ground, new facilities (at least when I played) and decent tea!

The best professional played against?

Luke Proctor.

The best amateurs played against?

Tom Hardman #96 R.I.P.

Favourite on the field memories?

Gary Nash took one to the crown jewels from a speedy Luke Proctor, I think we were playing away at Oldham. Luke is a right arm medium-fast bowler, currently signed at Northamptonshire CCC, I’m sure Nashy will still be able to feel the pain when reflecting back on that memory.

How about off the field?

Burton Cup Final days, start the day with a full English breakfast at the Moorcock, followed by an action packed day of cricket and always a good celebration after lifting the trophy!
